Won't last in my office...because I threw them away.:
I love good wasabi peanuts. This ain't them. The biggest problem with Emerald's take is that the medium used for the wasabi coverage is soy sauce and not a very decent one. The nuts don't have much characteristic wasabi 'bite' to them - they're very pallid in that regard. But far more important: there's a bitter soy sauce flavor overriding everything; instead of the purity of peanut and wasabi, there's a muddled yet very unpleasant tang of flavors which do not mesh well at all. Do yourself a favor and pass on Emerald. I wish I had...
Really great flavor and not HOT!:
These peanuts have a distinctive light wasabi flavor that make them great tasting. They are not HOT. I don't expect these to last in my office!
Don't waste your money:
I bought these at my local Safeway (1# bag = 3.99) and ended up returning them the very next day. The color of the "wasabi" coating was not appetizing, which should have clued me in before even opening the bag. There wasn't much to them, and what "flavor" they did have, barely resembled wasabi. In fact, to me, it tasted of chemicals, however the other reviewer thought it was a cheap soy sauce; regardless, they were disappointing.
