Sides won't stay put:
Loved the heartbeat feature but as my son got bigger the sides were hard to keep on as his body was too much to hold them.

Great for Reflux:
This product made us feel so much better knowing our son was sleeping inclined safely. Great for use if you child has reflux. After being washed several times the velcro does not stick as well --but I think that is to be expected. I would suggest buying this product.

Disappointed:
I was very disappointed in this item. I was excited to find it originally, and thought it was a great idea. However when we received it, I found the heartbeat was barely audible at all... more along the lines of a ticking clock. I was expecting the whooshing like the heartbeat bears. For a sleep wedge, it's okay but don't spend the extra money for the heartbeat feature.

American Academy of Pediatrics and Consumer Reports Informs us...:
"...The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) advises parents and caregivers to remove all "pillow-like soft products" from cribs, while the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) advises that "soft objects, such as pillows, quilts, comforters, sheepskins, stuffed toys, and other gas-trapping objects should be kept out of an infant's sleeping environment." More specifically, the AAP advises that "Although various devices have been developed to maintain sleep position or to reduce the risk of rebreathing, such devices are not recommended, because none have been tested sufficiently to show efficacy or safety." While the cause of infant death can be difficult to determine, our reporters found documentation of at least one death attributed by a New York City medical examiner to be caused by asphyxia by obstruction of nose and mouth by a foam positioning device. "Our advice is to keep the crib bare," says R. David Pittle, Consumers Union's former senior vice president for technical policy. "The only thing that should be in a crib is a sheet, a mattress, a child, and a blanket."" (...)

so parents can sleep:
Has been a real sleep saver for parents of a fussy fussy baby. It settles him back down with the "cry sensing" setting. But it has to be put right at the head of the bassinet or they scoot right off the top of the wedge...and then they really get mad.
