Sound sleeper:
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He suffers from insomnia and when he finally gets to sleep he is hard to wake up, sleeping through numerous alarms. He loves this alarm clock. The bed shaker works great. He has not been late for work since he got this alarm!

Sonic Boom clock:
The Sonic Boom while not as loud as advertised made up for that shortcoming by the use of the "shaker". I doubt if anyone can sleep through that shaking. I wish I could say the same about the alarm.

Sonic Boom Review:
I purchased the Sonic Boom alarm to wake my teenage son who can usually sleep through any other alarm. This usually wakes him up, but then he turns off the alarm and goes back to sleep. I'm thinking of moving it to where he can't reach it from the bed.

Great Product:
This is an incredible alarm clock! I do not work as I have multiple sclerosis, but I still try to maintain regular nighttime sleep hours. I have recently gone through three alarm clocks that I purchased at a major retailer. I would even set all three clocks simultaneously but some mornings would wake up on my own two hours after the alarms had gone go off. Some advertisers will claim that this clock is comparable to a jack hammer while others claim a volume of 113 decibels, these are simply exaggerations. Although this clock does not meet these claims, the volume is much louder than anything you will find off the shelf. The adjustable volume and tone allow you to vary the settings so that you do not become accustomed to any one tone or volume. When waking up, the off switch is difficult to find and you almost always hit the snooze button before you can find the off button. I consider this a good thing, as you have to be more widely awake and attentive to find the off button. If you sleep through this alarm, you most likely do not have a "waking up" problem, but probably have a "getting out of bed problem" which the clock will not resolve. The vibrating disk does an excellent job by itself, and is a nice addition.

Good Alarm, BAD vibrator connection!:
I got this back in May 2008, its Dec 2008 and in 6 months, the wire connecting to the vibrating disk is 'damaged' and the disk vibrates ONLY when the wire is at a certain angle....I missed waking up to the alarm a few times and that was that... however, when it worked, it was excellent. The 'strobe' like lights on the clock is great, if you keep it facing to your bed, it really works when you wake up, you see the flashing lights and the vibrating disk when working, worked well. Good Product idea/concept....BAD BAD quality!!!!
