Terrible Printer:
The very worst printer that I have ever bought. Every time I fire it up it wants to be reinstalled. Very very annoying. Went through an almost infinity of steps with HP support to no avail. Do not purchase this printer if you want a half decent printer.

Save your money!:
Pros: The box it came in is nice looking. Cons: Horrible software, tech support that is a joke and very SLOW printer. Solftware install takes forever, and then doesn't work. I spent two days on the phone with HP Tech. Support (speaking to someone in India of course). They finally determined that the CD that came with the unit was defective, so had me download and re-install from their website. Again, it took forever. Even aligning the heads, cleaning the print nozzles and printing a test page took FOREVER to do, and then only printed in color. Another call to HP and they determined the black print cartridge is defective. Oh, they are sending me a replacement that should arrive in a week. LOUSY customer service, and lousy product. I have other HP products which work very well. This one does not. I'm going back to Lexmark, which never fails and is simple to install and use. Buy ANY printer but the HP Deskjet F4180! HP has just lost a good customer.

Good deal for the price.:
This product works as advertised. It was priced reasonably and we received the printer on time. Great deal. Great transaction.

Garbage...mind of it's own.:
Since the day I bought this printer it never worked right. It would print things out of nowhere that I would not request, It guzzled INK, scanner is very poor quality, paper loader is cheap, over all a horrible printer and a total waste of money! I will never buy another frankenstein printer from HP, this monster needs to be destroyed. I switched to Canon so much better.

Disappointing:
I bought an HP F4180 because I liked the price and have had good experience with cheap printers before. I just wanted a basic printer and was glad to get one that did copies as well. So far, the experience has been rather bad. I only installed the black ink because I wanted to save the color one for when I really want to use color (you can do this with Lexmark printers). However, the printer is refusing to work for me. So, I'm about to give in and put the color one in. I was going to try to reinstall the drivers to see if there was an option there but I lost the drivers. I called the help line, but was dropped when my call was being transferred. They want your name, address and product serial number before they are willing to help with their hardware. In all, I've had much better experience from Lexmark in recent years.
