Don't worry about drainage!:
The wood is nice, but the construction is sloppy at best. Hardly anything is square, so there are gaps in almost all of the joints. Unlike the picture, there's no metal band reinforcement of the ends...just two staples on each side. They should work for a while but I expect to be rebuilding them before long.
