trademark infringment company: This company is infringing on the Republic of Cyprus product. Specifically Halloumi, the Greek Cypriot Halloumi, from Pittas brand is the original produced on the southern section of Cyprus, the turkish invaders of north cyprus are producing illegally. This cheese is not the original Halloumi, it is a poor attempt to sell fake products to an unsuspecting public, and infringe on the rights of free cypriots. How would any american like it if turks tried to duplicate wisconsin cheese and sell it as a wisconsin product.. My opinion is not to purchase any turkish products,,,,,,,,,,anywhere.
Great Cheese: First of all nobody is trying to sell this product as a "Turkish Halloumi Cheese".It's a regular halloumi cheese from Turkish company. There are similar kinds of products in both cultures. For example,Greek Feta is a regular Turkish Feta.Same texture, same taste, same everything! What I'm trying to say is do not sabotage Turkish products. This is really delicious cheese.Only reason you hate this cheese it's Turkish. When you make thick cuts and pan fry it (without butter),it's really delicious with fresh tomatoes. I have tried different brands but Bahcivan is the best so far. (p.s. you have to use capital letter when you write Turkey or Turkish as you write Greek)
