The Enchanted Inn: Seven years ago, Gina Locke walked away from her own wedding after finding her fiancé in bed with another woman. He swore it was a misunderstanding. She didn't believe him. Burying herself in her work, she's tried to move on with her life, but has failed. Luke Harding, the errant fiancé, has regretted losing Gina every day for seven years. Now a sudden snowstorm has stranded them at the same remote inn. After drinking a little too much elderberry wine, Gina and Luke are transported to 1778, where Gina is known as Rachel, an indentured servant, and Luke is called John, a stable hand. The problem (other than lack of indoor plumbing and bug spray)? Even though they are madly in love, only Gina remembers their life in the future. The Enchanted Inn features time travel, star-crossed lovers, engaging secondary characters, and a murderer, all wrapped into a cute little package just as sweet as a Hershey Kiss. What else can I say? The story flows smoothly. The dialogue rings true. The cover art is gorgeous. This little book has it all. Read it. You'll enjoy it. Chris reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed
Fantastic!: Who would have thought a glass of wine could send her hurtling back into the past? Gina Locke never expected to end up in 1778 with her ex-fiancé, Luke Harding. Worse yet, he doesn't even remember her as Gina but is calling himself John and thinks she's someone named Rachel! All she had wanted was a respite during the snowstorm, a respite that had left her stranded with Luke at THE ENCHANTED INN. Will this couple get a second chance at love? Pam Champagne never fails to deliver a top notch story. THE ENCHANTED INN is a heart warming story about the power of love and forgiveness. What a perfect story to take place on Christmas Eve! THE ENCHANTED INN is chock full of intriguing characters. There are no flat, two dimensional characters here as Pam Champagne creates characters full of depth. Even the vileness of George Haynes has an added special touch that makes him stand out in comparison to other villains. Gina's confusion and disorientation at waking up in 1778 really makes her personality spring to life. I could easily envision myself in her shoes, bewildered as to how they ever survived without all of the amenities we are so spoiled with nowadays! I cheered her on as she met each challenge presented to her. What a horrific twist for a woman of today to find herself swept back into the past in the role of an indentured servant, but Gina met every challenge thrown at her. THE ENCHANTED INN is another fantastic tale from the very talented Pam Champagne. Ms. Champagne quickly gets to the emotional heart of any tale she writes and THE ENCHANTED INN is no exception. Highly recommended! COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES
