Very tasty, but wish these were packed in bottles instead of cans.:
The tomatoes are very tasty. I just wish they were packed in glass bottles instead of plastic-lined cans. Tomatoes are acidic, and this greatly increases the amount of BPA (and who knows what other chemicals) that leech in from the plastic lining into the food. I know using glass bottles instead of cans would probably increase the cost of producing this product, as well as the weight (and therefore the shipping and handling charges), and it would create a breakability issue for the manufacturer and distributors, but the end result would be a much healthier product. As much as I like these tomatoes, I will probably not buy them again. Instead, I'll wait for the local organic summer surplus, then roast and bottle my own. Makes more sense economically and environmentally, and it will be better for my family's health.

Wonderful Tomatoes:
I have used these tomatoes in sauces and as the base for tomato soup and they provide wonderful flavor. My only disappointment was that when the package arrived, the flat of cans was wrapped in plastic and placed in another box but still each of the 12 cans was dented. I would not have purchased those cans in a supermarket because of their condition.
