Features:
Better than most but not best: I've checked most available video baby monitors and landed on this one from a club warehouse at ~$100. Pros: Nice color screen with good picture quality; Infrared for night view works well; A/V out; True portability and works well with NiMH rechargeable batteries. Cons: In sufficient volume; Static noise if used 80-100 ft in our environment; Analog signal has no security There's a new model out with digital FHSS, which should offer security as well as longer distance and better battery life.
Poor Reception: I was looking forward to testing out this new baby monitor. When I first tried it out I was impressed with the picture quality and even more so once I hooked the video to my tv. At this point in time the camera was in the same room as the receiver. I then brought the camera upstairs to the baby's room and I could barely get a signal, no matter how I positioned it. The manufacturer claims the reception is good up to 100 meters. The baby's room is was about 30 feet away and all I got was static! Back to the store it goes! Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this product.
