works seamlessly - wish the transfer rate was higher:
Ruby Red, can't beat that! I got this drive to do annual back-ups of my photos, video and music, and store it offsite. It's a USB 2.0 so I thought the drive speed was going to be faster on the read/write task, but I can't complain too much, as this is a plug-n-go experience on my Windows machine. If I were do it again, I'd read more carefully at the transfer rates of these drives... and Western Digital should improve this in future versions as feedback.

This is a perfect product to use to back up data from your hard drive. It is easy to use and small in size so it is completely portable. Price was great.

been using for about 2 months with a xp pro notebook with small internal storage. came with software, didn't install. plug and play. it works and that's what it's all about.

WD passport drives are great!:
I have 2 of these that I personally own and we use them at my work all the time. They are great for large storage that is portable. I would reccomend them to anyone!

Good Solid Product. Shinys tend to get scratched:
This is a great investment. The price is very good and it is fast and reliable. USB 2.0 and all. One problem though: The shiny surface (top) tends to get scratched easily so investing in a soft carrying case might be a good idea.
