A very useful book: Although the title of this book is called "Practical Temperature Measurement" it could just as easily be called "The Temperature Measurement Encyclopaedia". This is because is it has a very comprehensive review of many different temperature measurement techniques, all divided into convenient groups. Written and presented in a clear and logical manner, this book can be used by not only a novice, who wishes to discover something for the first time, but also by the more experienced reader who wishes to review a topic or search for alternatives. This book reads as a combination of a text book and a handy pocket guide. At the end of each chapter the author provides a useful list of sources of further information, both in book format and web-site addresses. This book will be of great interest and use to anyone with either a general or working knowledge of temperature and its measurement.
