Heat Shrink Tape: I purchased just one roll of this product, thank goodness. It is not what I expected. The tape has no adhesive. It has no glue. It does not stick to itself like silicone tape. It does not stretch like some types of plain old kitchen wrap. It is like the standard vinyl electrical tape without the adhesive. I have tried to wrap this around some thin, low voltage wires, but without the adhesive, it unwraps immediately. I never even bothered to get out the heat gun. I don't want to hold the tape with my fingers while I heat the tape. I like my fingers. There are only a couple of ways that I can see using this product. One way is to have someone else help you. Maybe they could hold the tape to the wires (or whatever) with some needle nose pliers. The tape is rather slick, it just tends to fall off whatever objects you are trying to tape. The package for the tape has no directions. One other possible way to use this product is to wrap stuff that is inherently "tacky" by itself. I imagine that it could be used to wrap standard residential electrical cables (like 14/2 with ground) where the outside (the insulation) of the cable is not especially slick. In that scenario the tape can wrap over itself and the cable is stiff enough that the heat shrink "tape" can be pulled tight. I hate to even call this "tape" because of the lack of adhesive. It is more like heat shrink ribbon.
