Like an Old Fashioned Electric Blanket.....:
I have been searching for the perfect electric blanket for quite some time. I previously owned a Springmaid electric blanket. The Springmaid was an old fashioned blanket that allowed you to choose the temperature and the temperature remained the same all night-no sensors to change the temperature automatically if the sensor felt the blanket was too warm in places. My Springmaid died and after contacting the company I was told that this type blanket was no longer available. The Sunbeam Dynasty Retreat Quilted Fleece Heated Blanket uses the room temperature NOT your body temperature to control the blanket temperature. I keep my bedroom temperature cooler to save on heating costs in the winter and this blanket stays warm all night. Even when I get up in the middle of the night and return to bed it is still the same temperature as when I left the bed. The blanket also has a warming feature to preheat the bed before getting into it. Once the warming feature is selected, the blanket will default to High for 30 minutes and then adjust to the selected temperature. The blanket is also easily cleaned by machine washing and drying. The blanket is made of a fleece type material that appears to be heavy duty and high quality. After washing for the first time there was no pilling of the blanket and only a small amount of lint was found in the dryer lint trap. This blanket does everything the description claims. If your searching for an old fashioned blanket that stays warm all night this is as close as you will get. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Sunbeam Fleece Electric Blanket:
I haven't had an electric blanket in more than 20 years. I did not want ones of those old fashioned blankets that get old looking and pilled up, with the satin edging around it. This blanket is much nicer, a good solid fleece. I didn't buy it to keep heating all night. I live in Georgia and it doesn't really get that cold here. What I really wanted was to be able to warm up the bed before I got in to avoid cold feet. This blanket actually has a preheat setting that allows for just that! It's just scrumptious! I love it! Would I suggest this blanket for my friends? In a heartbeat!

For a toasty night's sleep:
I have used a number of electric blankets through the years and I LOVE this one. The "preheat" feature alone is worth it. No more trying to find the right temp by turning the blanket up high when you go to bed and forgetting to turn it down before you fall asleep. No more waking up roasting a few hours later! It is also a very nice blanket in itself and the wires are not stiff or bothersome like older blankets.
