A good concept but not without flaws:
My friend and I each purchased one of these Smoking Everywhere starter kits at a kiosk at the mall. We were excited to try it because we felt it would be the one thing to finally help us cut down or quit smoking real cigarettes. In short, my friend has returned to the mall 3 times since she's had hers. The first time, the battery portion of the "cigarette" was not holding a charge. They replaced the whole kit. After that, the cigarette would not "smoke", so they gave her a new heating element (atomizer). That worked for about 2 hours, and stopped working again. She exchanged it yet again, and so far, it has been working. Mine was fine from the beginning, except for an occasional lack of smoke (you have to drag harder on these e-cigs than a real one). But a few days after I began using it, I would get an occasional burning smell from the flavored cartridge, like the heating element was burning the filter material. The first time, I had to change filters because the smell (and taste) wouldn't go away. Since then, it has happened a few more times and I will be returning it to the mall. The product, when it is in working order, is very effective at keeping me off real cigarettes. I no longer have a desire to stink up my car and get ashes all over the place, because when I go out, I use only the e-cigarette. I have cut down to anywhere from 5-10 cigarettes a day, from a pack or more. I really hope they can work the kinks out because I think it is a great alternative to other quitting methods.
Great idea for electronics fans:
I bought this for a Christmas gift for my adult son who loves computers, XBOX 360, MP3 players and all electronics. It was a big hit with him and his friends. It satisfies the smoker on many levels (not just nicotine) as it mimics the smoking ritual. No smelly smoke, bad breath or stained teeth. So far, two weeks, we haven't had any mechanical problems.
