Versatile seasoning:
This seasoning is more than just for making dressing. It has a variety of uses. I've used it on sauted and grilled vegetables, meat marinades, pasta sauce and more. I've also made it into a red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing and it was good, however, I needed to use a lot more of the seasoning than indicated on the package. If you like seasoning blends with an Italian slant, I highly recommend this one. It's beyond dressing and beyond Italian food.
Versatile and flavorful...the applications are endless:
At first I wasn't sure about trying this spice mix. I don't go much for vinegar-and-oil salad dressings. However, I do a lot of improvisation in cooking, and I mixed this in with some hamburgers. My teenagers really liked the flavor. I also spread this on top of a pot roast to add some herbal zing to it. And Wow! The pot roast was devoured. This product has been pretty good so far, maybe I'll get around to mixing as a marinade or a salad dressing.
Lovely Salad Dressing:
A lot of powder salad dressings are too salty and don't make for a tasty dressing on any mix green salad. I have found that this dressing is very pleasant. It mixes up well. Tastes wonderful on any salad and keeps in the cupboard until you are ready to use it. Just adding a little oil and toss with your veggies.
Good stuff:
I ordered this as a gift for a person who loves to cook Italian food in particular, and after a week of using it she got rid of what the spices she had been using before and asked me if there was a vendor where she could order a package of it. She certainly has more expertise in this area than me (I'm more of a microwavable pizza kinda guy). I'd recommend this to anyone.
Good seasoning for a variety of foods...:
I haven't used this product in a salad dressing. What I have used it for is to season cooked food. It goes well on a roast, baked chicken, fish, etc. I have also used it to season cook vegetables. I try not to use salt as a seasoning, but I also don't want my food to be bland. This Italian seasoning adds a nice spicy (not hot) flavor to the foods I use it in. I only wish there were other varieties of it besides just Italian.
