Completely Satisfied w/ This Dimplex:
I needed to supplement the heat in my lower level 18X25 (450 sq.ft) family room in the NE Pennsylvania climate. Purchased the Dimplex Corner Wall-Mount Electric Fireplace and mounted it in approx 3 hrs. It took me a bit longer because I removed the white 6' power cord and installed a longer black one to fit our decor and reach the nearest outlet (probably voided the warranty, but time will tell and hopefully will not need the utilize it). The fireplace really looks good mounted in the corner. When running, the glow of the logs looks very realistic, the flames are somewhat dim but acceptable. The realism of the glowing logs makes up for the dim flames, IMO. As far as heat, I keep the family room thermostat set at 64 and run the Dimplex all day. After reaching 70 and setting the thermostat on the Dimplex, it cycles as needed to maintain 70. As far as cost, Amazon was $150 less than all other internet dealers I found and our electric bill is the same as if we were still running our window AC unit in the summer. In summary, I weighed this Dimplex against a direct vent propane fireplace and decided that the cost of propane and set up of a direct vent was too much vs the electric Dimplex. I'm completely satisfied with the decision and am happy with the Dimplex Corner Fireplace.

Amazon was great, Dimplex, a little misleading:
First off, Amazon had this in my home in two days. Super fast free shipping. The fireplace is nice but the flame is not bright enough. The heat is somewhat restricted due to the large grill in front of the blower. After phoning Dimplex and being on hold twice for an hour, I finally got through and was told my model does not have an adjustable flame, though Dimplexs' website states otherwise. Disappointed as the flame does not look anything like the photo. I did a lot of research before buying this and which I could have a better review because this fits right into my small corner.

5 Stars for Looks, Alone!:
I ordered this from Amazon, recently. It looks great. Especially in an older home with decorative moldings. But I'm sending mine back for one reason: Poor packaging on the part of Amazon. My unit arrived barely intact. The top had a chip in it -- and the manufacturer cannot supply replacements. It was also dented on one of the brackets. And the interior packaging showed evidence of having been opened before So I got the feeling this was a resale from Amazon. I never plugged the unit in, so I'm sorry but I can't swear to its heating ability. But it is well-made. Strong firebox framing. Heavy door. Warnings in Manual say to not put anything over 25 pounds on top of it once you hang it on the wall. The "logs" and flame effect will never fool anyone into thinking it's a real fireplace, so don't buy it if that's what you're after. But for no-hassle installation, this can't be beat (except the kind that sit on a bare floor). No gas line to run. Plugs into a standard wall socket. Amazon indeed has the best price anywhere on this hanging unit. I wish they offered the white version, too. The freestanding unit that Dimplex makes is on sale at GrandinRoad.com for $(...) -- but shipping adds another $(...). It stands in the corner and will not be movable by one person, based on how heavy this wall unit is.
